𝟭: 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺?
Cy: Cambridge. Half Jamaican and half English
Andrew: Cambridge. Of Irish and Italian decent
𝟮. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿?
Cy: We’ve been close friends since about 17. This was concreted by socialising and spending a lot of time together over the years through mutual interests.
Andrew: We’ve been friends since college. We grew close in our early 20s socialising together.
𝟯. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿?
Cy: We’ve definitely adopted a culture of uplifting our friends and supporting one another - family, love life, work/jobs. We don’t just say yes to support each other, we push back and genuinely motivate each other to be the best we can. 🤍
Andrew: through understanding. Asking questions of each other and our work. Letting the other person explain their plans, goals, worries and trepidation. Encouraging them and criticising them when needed to better themselves.
𝟰. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 ‘𝗢𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿𝘀’ 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂?
Cy: to me it means owning the notion. Taking accountability for it and being confident because of that. Take opportunity don’t wait for someone else to take it.
Andrew: To me means it's anyone's opportunity to take. You have to make sure you're the one taking it, that's its your ideas that are being presented not theirs.
𝟱. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗼𝘁𝗲/𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴?
Cy: “If not, why not.”
Pure motivation to push beyond boundaries or to question any blockers and overcome them. 💪🏽
Andrew: "Nothings perfect". It's possible to get caught up in yourself trying to perfect something. It’s better to put something out in the world the way it is rather than torture yourself trying to get it just right.
𝟲. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗾𝘂𝗼𝘁𝗲/𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴?
Cy: “It’s just banter isn’t it” being far from a typical lad it just doesn’t vibe with me 🤷🏽♂️
Andrew: "Everything happens for a reason". It doesn't, sometimes bad things happen and you have to live with it without expecting a underlying positive reason behind it
